Your consent
Your use of this website signifies your consent to me collecting and using personal data about you as specified below in accordance with this policy statement.
How do I collect personal information about you and how is it used?
You may provide personal information when communicating with me. You may use my services and give your name and e-mail address to make a comment about my services or Web site.
What data do I collect?
I collect customers' names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers for the purpose of collecting, repairing and delivering guitars or when I sell a guitar. I keep paper invoices which go to my accountant annually and are securely stored for one year after that submission. I keep regular customers' phone numbers and email addresses on electronic devices which are password or touch ID protected. I keep customers' emails for one year in my email inbox which is password protected. After one year they are deleted.
How do I protect your information?
I have strict security procedures covering the storage of your information in order to prevent unauthorised access and to comply with the terms of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR. This means that sometimes I may ask you for proof of identity or for other personal information before I can process your call or enquiry further.
Traffic data
I will not provide any aggregate statistics about sales, customers, traffic patterns or information to third parties.
How long will I retain your data?
I retain sales data for 2 years in order to comply with any warranty issues and as required by HMRC. I retain regular customers' names and phone numbers for as long as they remain customers.
Disclosure policy
I reserve the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information to enable me to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests to operate its systems and to protect itself or its users.
